Web Page Printing Orphans in Windows 98!
I think all of us have printed out a web page to read or share and we've all ended up with an extra page printed with just a footer on it or even blank. An annoying waste of paper, but there's a simple solution.

Assuming that the web page is relatively short all you need to do is choose to only print one page. In Internet Explorer choose File | Print ... then instead of All pages, click on the Pages: radio button (the default setting is one page only).

Click Print and only the first printed page worth of the web page will come out.

If you're not sure how many pages you want printed, choose File | Print Preview, with some practice you'll become pretty good at judging how many printed pages you want.

Alternatives for saving paper depend on the ability of your printer. You could choose double-sided printing or multiple pages per sheet if available - check File | Print | Preferences to see what's available.
Viewing the Scheduled Tasks icon in Windows ME!
Unlike Windows 98, Windows Me doesn't display the Scheduled Tasks icon in the System Tray by default. If you'd like to be reminded of your scheduled tasks by having this icon in your Windows Me System Tray, follow this simple registry-editing procedure.

Open the registry by typing regedit in the Run dialog box's Open text box. Then, navigate to HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareMicrosoftPlus!System Agent. Right-click in the right pane of the windows and choose New | DWORD Value. Name the new value EnableTrayIcon and press [Enter]. Then, double-click on the value to open the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, and in the Value Data text box, type 1. Exit the registry and reboot Windows. The Scheduled Tasks icon should now appear in the System Tray.
Take advantage of the Show In Groups view in Windows XP!
If you're Windows XP system stores a significant number of data files, chances are good that you're using Windows Explorer's Details view to help sort through all of the files.

While the Details view is a great way to look at your data files, Windows XP offers another view that, in many circumstances, can make it even easier to manage your collection of data files: the Show In Groups view.

To enable the Show In Groups view, follow these steps:

1. Launch Windows Explorer.
2. Go to View | Arrange Icons By | Show In Groups.

This view setting divides Windows Explorer's displays into sections with headers that correspond to the sort option that you've selected. For example, if you've sorted files by Name, XP will group them alphabetically by letter. If you've sorted files by Date Modified, XP will group them by time, such as Yesterday, Earlier This Week, Last Week, etc. You can easily change the group sort order by clicking a different column header.
