Use Windows Explorer to organize your IE Favorites in Windows 98!
Internet Explorer enables you to organize and reorganize access to your favorite Web sites using the Organize Favorites dialog box. To access this dialog box, just choose Favorites | Organize. However, the Organize Favorites dialog box isn't very efficient when you need to rearrange the contents of several folders in your Favorites list. Fortunately, you can use Windows Explorer to make the job much simpler.

All you need to do is right-click on the Start button on the Windows taskbar, and then choose Explore from the resulting submenu to open Windows Explorer. Next, navigate to the C:\Windows\Favorites folder. Now you can reorganize the Favorites folder's contents using the familiar Windows Explorer environment. Your changes will be reflected in Internet Explorer's Favorites list the next time you open Internet Explorer.
Quickly restart Windows Me!
Have you ever wished you could reboot Windows Me without taking up so much time? If you're ever in a hurry and you need to quickly reboot Windows Me, here's how to do it without having to wait through the lengthy BIOS tests.

Click the Start button and then choose Shut Down. In the Shut Down Windows dialog box, select the Restart option. Now hold down the [Shift] key and click OK. Windows Me will now reboot much more quickly because it will bypass the BIOS tests necessary in a normal boot sequence.
Prevent the AutoComplete List of File Names from Appearing in XP Home!
To prevent the AutoComplete list from appearing in typical Windows Explorer-style dialog boxes, turn off the AutoComplete functionality for Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer:

1. Start Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.

2. Click the Content tab, and then click AutoComplete.

3. Under Use AutoComplete for, click to clear the Web Addresses check box, and then click OK.

4. Click the Advanced tab, click to clear the Use inline AutoComplete check box in the Browsing section (if this check box has been selected).

5. Click OK.
