Determining the current user and domain

When you're troubleshooting a computer, a quick way to

determine both the name of the currently logged-on user and

the domain in which the computer resides is to use the net

config command.

This command enables you to view the status

of the Workstation and Server services on a computer.

To use it, begin by opening a Command Prompt window. Next, enter net

config workstation. You now see a listing that includes the

name of the computer, the name of the user currently logged on,

and the name of the domain in which the computer resides.
